Every website acquires a certain amount of backlinks without any effort. A problem that often arises is that many of these backlinks are from low quality sites. A website with links from low quality websites is subject to ranking losses, and possibly even blacklisting. For these reasons it is imperative to find a use a formal process to mitigate problems caused by these links. There are disavow tools available through Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. To use these tools you need to have setup these services, acquired a list of toxix links to disavow, prepare the list with proper formatting and save as an XML file, upload the files within these tools. Most website owners elect to have an internet marketing company handle this process for them.
